Mumbai Indians crashed to a huge defeat by 37 runs against hosts Delhi Daredevils who have now beaten them twice. Chasing the massive target of 208, Mumbai Indians were in early trouble at 19 for 3 in 3.1 overs losing three big players cheaply.
A fighting partnership between Dinesh Karthik (40 from 28 balls with 7 fours) and AT Rayudu (62 from 39 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes) brought the Mumbai Indians back in the game. However just after their dismissals, it was Delhi Daredevils back in control of the game. The final blow for Mumbai Indians came when Kieron Pollard (16 from 9 balls) was clean bowled by left arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem in the 16th over.
Eventually, Mumbai Indians settled for 170 for 8 in 20 overs. Irfan Pathan, Shahbaz Nadeem and Umesh Yadav picked up two wickets each for the homeside. Virender Sehwag got the Man of the Match for his entertaining 73.

Kevin Pietersen extended his great form with a cracking unbeaten 50 from just 26 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Despite Delhi Daredevils losing wickets in a heap in the final overs, they still had done more than enough to put up an intimidating total. Robin Peterson was the most successful bowler for Mumbai Indians taking 3 for 37 in his 4 overs.
